Combined Competitive Examination APSC Syllabus & Exam Pattern:

According to Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, APSC inviting applications in prescribed form. The Written APSC Examination consists of two phase:

  • The Preliminary Examination.
  • The Main Examination.

APSC Preliminary Examination 2018 Syllabus :

The APSC examination conducts two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is intended to serve as screening test only. There is multiple questions choice objective types:

Subjects for APSC Preliminary Examination 2018 :

Agriculture, Anthropology, Animal Husbandry & Vety Science, Botany, Chemical Engineering, Civil, Engineering, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Education, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Fisheries, Geography, Geology, Indian History, Law, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, and Zoology.

APSC Main Examination 2018 and Interview Syllabus :

The APSC Main Examination is process a written Examination and a viva-voce test as below:

  • Candidates who are qualified in the Main Examination shall be summoned for a viva-voce test. The viva-voce test contains 200 marks with no qualifying marks.
  • The APSC written examination consists of the following papers for 3 hours duration each. The questions of the Main Examination will be predictable essay type:

Paper-III (a&b) Any two optional subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject (two papers each) 3 hours 200-200

Subjects for APSC Main Examination :

Classical Language (any one only) :-

1- Assamese 5- Arabic
2- Bengali 6- Persian
3- English 7- Sanskrit

Interview Test : Marks 200.

The candidates have to face interview by APSC Board which takes into account their academic career. The marks scored in the interview are added to the marks scored in the written examination (Main) and the rankings of the candidates are resolute on the basis of the total marks obtained.

Departmental Examinations APSC Syllabus & Exam Pattern:

The APSC Board also has to conduct Departmental Examinations with in every six month for different categories officers including All India Service Officers serving under the Govt. of Assam. For this reason, APSC Board is seeking applications from the intending candidates.

Reservation :

The reservations of APSC Departmental Examinations as prescribed by the Govt. of Assam are as follows:
